Hi Folks,

            This week there are two things to talk about. First, this week’s assignment is Math oriented. I have placed a worksheet on my site with a complete explanation of how to approach it. You will see that this is not a major time consumer. I’m doing this so everyone can catch up with the previous assignments. You will not know how to do this assignment if you don’t watch this weeks video, so start there. Good luck.

            Next, I want to introduce a new book. Thanks to Mrs. Jackson, Ricky’s Mom, I have a really cool book for you to read. The book is called Confessions of a High School Word Nerd, edited by Arianne Cohen and Colleen Kinder. The thing about this book is that it is a collection of short stories written by young people. The stories are really funny, well written and, for each story, they include vocabulary words used in the SAT test. The words are bolded with the definition at the bottom of the page. I know this book is not on your reading list but we all have to be flexible and when I see something that could really help you, I pass it along.
